I retired from full-time ministry in April 2025 after over 50 years, including 20 years at Cross Church in Texas. I’m energized for new opportunities ahead.

With diverse experience, I began as a worship pastor, then became an associate pastor, and spent the last 20+ years as executive pastor, overseeing programs and staff while supporting senior leadership. My preaching experience spans many opportunities, and I've served on various boards, including as chairman of the Southwestern Seminary board from 2021 to 2023.

I have also supported three churches during pastoral transitions: Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Texas, First Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia, and North Richland Hills Baptist Church.

My wife, Tammy, an accomplished author and former nurse practitioner, and I have three children and eight grandchildren.
